Answers to the questions we are asked most often about accounts, organizations and using the authority's portal.

About the platform
- It is the Sharqia Development Authority's digital portal for traffic and transport work. Through it, consulting firms and developers apply for qualification, submit traffic-impact studies, follow the review and committee decision, download the approved templates and requirements, and request research data.
- Anyone can browse the public pages, the services directory and the list of qualified organizations. Submitting a request requires an account, and most services also require that you belong to an organization registered on the platform.
- Yes. The portal is fully bilingual in Arabic and English. Use the language switcher in the header to change language at any time; your choice is remembered on your next visit.
- The electronic services offered on this portal are provided without fees. Any obligations related to the studies themselves are governed by the terms shown on each service page.
Accounts and sign-in
- Open the sign-in page and choose "Create account". Enter your name, national ID, email address and mobile number, then set a password. You then activate the account with the code sent to your email, followed by the code sent to your mobile.
- Yes. Choose "Sign in with Nafath" and approve the request in the Nafath app. If it is your first time, you will be asked to complete a short profile step to confirm your contact details before you reach the portal.
- Two-step verification protects your account. A code is sent to your registered mobile number, and you can ask for it to be sent to your email instead from the same screen.
- Each account may be signed in from one device at a time, so signing in somewhere else ends the earlier session. Sessions also expire after a period of inactivity. Sign in again to continue; submitted requests are never lost.
- A password must be at least eight characters long and contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.
Organizations and members
- After signing in, choose "Create organization" and complete the registration steps: the organization's details and type, its commercial registration and unified number, and its contact and address information.
- An organization member sends them an invitation by email. The invitation is not applied automatically — the person who receives it signs in and explicitly accepts or declines it before gaining access.
- Use "Switch organization" in the user menu in the header. Requests, studies and assessments always belong to the organization that is active when you submit them, so check the selected organization before you start.
Support and accessibility
- Every page ends with a short "Was this page useful?" question. Your answer and comments reach the team that maintains the content, and it is the fastest way to flag an error on a specific page.
- The footer offers accessibility tools including a screen reader and a listen-to-page option, and the portal follows the Digital Government Authority's accessibility guidelines in both languages.
- Any recent version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on desktop or mobile. If a page behaves unexpectedly, update your browser and clear its cache before trying again.
